PHYSIOTHERAPY
As an experienced physiotherapist, Natasha can treat your joint injuries, back and neck pain, muscle tears and hand injuries. She can teach you exercises or design gym and fitness programs to rehabilitate you from injury and maximise your recovery from surgery.
Using her training in Sport Rehabilitation, Natasha can offer you advice on injury prevention and conditioning for
sporting activities.
MYOFASCIAL THERAPY
Myofascial Therapy involves soft and deep tissue massage techniques. It is used to free the body of the restrictions and pain caused by myofascial trigger points. Natasha has a Diploma of Myofascial Therapy & Dry Needling. Dry Needling involves the use of acupuncture needles to release myofascial trigger points to give rapid relief from pain and muscle tension.
Natasha is experienced in using Dry Needling for many conditions including ‘Tennis Elbow’ and ITB Syndrome. She also uses it to free muscle tension in those at risk of hamstring and calf strains.
CLINICAL PILATES
Pilates is a method of exercise which addresses abdominal recruitment, body alignment, flexibility, muscle control and
co-ordination. Physiotherapists have adapted traditional pilates exercises to train the deep stabilising muscles of the spine.
Not all pilates exercises are safe or appropriate for everyone – Natasha combines her expertise in physiotherapy, pilates and injury rehabilitation to prescribe programs to suit her clients’ individual needs. Her eye for detail and motivation to challenge her clients is sought after.
Benefits include:
GYROTONIC® METHOD
The GYROTONIC® Method is a unique form of exercise which challenges every muscle in the body. Rather than training individual muscles, 3-dimensional whole body movement patterns are taught with the assistance of specialised equipment. Natasha is one of only a few physiotherapists trained in the GYROTONIC® Method and she has been teaching it since 2005. You will learn to move efficiently with control and co-ordination. The GYROTONIC® Method is relatively new to Australia but can be found throughout the world in medical rehabilitation facilities, dance studios and sports training facilities, as well as fitness centres. It has been utilised by Shaquille O’Neal, Andy Murray and many Hollywood celebrities including Madonna.
